Slipstream

Terms of service

Effective 2026-09-23 · Ironwood Cloudworks LLC

The short version. Slipstream is a budgeting tool. Use it for your own household, keep your login to yourself, and don't try to break it. It is not financial advice, and we don't move your money. Your data is yours; the privacy policy says what we keep and how to take it back.

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and Ironwood Cloudworks LLC ("Ironwood", "we"). By creating an account or using Slipstream at slipstream.money you accept them. If you don't, don't use the service.

2. Your account

3. Connected banks

If you connect a bank, you do it through Plaid. By connecting, you grant Ironwood and Plaid the right to access and transmit your bank account information as described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Your bank login goes to Plaid, never to us. You can disconnect a bank at any time in Settings, and doing so tells Plaid to drop the connection. Bank data is read-only: Slipstream never initiates payments, transfers or any other transaction.

4. Not financial advice

Slipstream shows you numbers you entered or that your bank reported, and lets you plan around them. Nothing in it is financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for your bank's own records. Check the source before you act on a balance.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Slipstream to break the law, to hold data you have no right to, to probe or overload the service, or to reach data that isn't your household's. Don't resell it. We may suspend an account that does any of these; we will tell you why.

6. Plans and payment

Slipstream is free today. If we introduce a paid plan we will say what it costs and what it includes before you are charged, and the free plan will keep working for what it did.

7. Your data

Your data belongs to you. You give us the permission we need to store and process it to run the service for you, and nothing more. You can export it and delete it yourself at any time; the privacy policy is the full statement of what we keep and for how long, and it forms part of these terms.

8. Availability and changes

We run Slipstream carefully but offer it as is, without a guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. We may change or retire features; if we ever retire the service we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ironwood is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Slipstream, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free account, is nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending things

You can delete your household at any time from Settings; that ends the agreement and removes your data as the privacy policy describes. We may end it if you break these terms, and will tell you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts sitting in St. Lawrence County, New York, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring them at home.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect and note the date at the top of this page.
